We took a trip up to Cedar Point last week to meet up with Mr. Eric Lapp again. We took a short video of the trip so check it out:

Well, October has arrived and the new FunWorld is out! Guess who has a 4-page spread??? WE DO!
This is really an exciting time for our group. After 2 years of amazing things, we are beginning to get our name out there. I want to thank everyone involved in the group for all the awesome things they’ve done.

TPEG was at the involvement fair this past week. Due to rain the tower was not launching, however we had a lot of interest and I think we will see a new crop of interested members this year! We have so much going on, it’s hard not to find your place.

I assure you, this picture is actually of the tower being launched under its own power. Hard to tell I know, but we should have more formal pictures and video up soon!

A very dedicated Jonathan Wocher has been in the lab the last few weeks working kinks out of the tower. Here’s a quick video he took of the cart moving freely along the tower:

Dan was out in Virginia with the fine folks from CoasterDynamix. He send us some cool pictures of what he’s been doing all summer. Here are a couple:

Eamon, Elliot, and Dan went out to New Albany Middle School to judge the kid’s coasters! It’s great to get out in the community and see kids so interested in science!

Wow, it’s been a while since an update. Here’s some stuff we did on the tail end of the school year:

Oh yeah, we took a trip to Holiday World for Hollywood Nights! GREAT FUN! I suggest to anyone who has not been to Holiday World that they make the trip this summer. I’ve never been so impressed with a park in my entire life. Great coasters, Great waterpark, Great drinks (free pop), and best of all, GREAT staff! Thanks Paula for setting us up and thanks to the whole Holiday World team for making this such a truly special weekend.
